Walking

So I've decided to set this blog up as a reminder to myself to stay optimistic and thankful.
I've heard many many times that it's beneficial to one's health to list all the things you're thankful for.... So here goes.
I thought about making this a weekly/daily entry type thing but I think I'm just going to play it by ear...


I'm thankful for:
being able to walk.

Seriously. I love walking.
Even in the super hot Houston heat.... I love being able to step up on curbs, jump over small objects (I only jump over small ones because I tend to trip over large ones), climb stairs, etc
I can't imagine what it would be like to be confined to crutches or to a wheelchair.
It would hinder my freedom of mobility in so many ways.
I'm happy that I can walk. I can get up and cross the room, get something I need, and go back to whatever I was doing without even batting an eye.


Reason why I thought of this:
I tripped in a completely empty hallway. It was a perfectly flat, carpeted, nice hallway. And I tripped and almost fell into a doorway.
But I'm still thankful that I can walk.
